Step 1. The Game The first question you'll need to consider is - have you played an escape room before? This is important because difficulty levels of each game get gradually harder. Most escape rooms offer a game to start with for first time players.
Starting with an easier game will teach your team how to manage your time, clues, team work, communication, and how to solve puzzles. At Bust Out, we always suggest that your first time playing an escape room will always be the hardest. So, for the best experience, it's recommended to start with the easiest difficulty level game and work your way up to the hardest.
At Bust Out, we recommend to start with Curse of the Mayan Temple
Step 2 - The Team
Your Team is the MOST important aspect to have a successful escape. Gather a group of 4 - 8 people who you would trust with your life! Because you might have to.....
You'll want to look for qualities such as: a good problem solver, an out of the box thinker, a math wiz, a decent reader, and a good team leader.. you know, to keep everyone on track.
Step 3 - The Reservation
Lastly, make sure you reserve your escape room ahead of time. We recommend to book your escape room experience a few days in advance. Make sure your team knows which location, day, and time. Your team should arrive 10 minutes early prior to your booked time.
